Comment:

July was rich in precipitation, it was raining 18 days a month. Long-term average in Deštnice station is 69,4 mm, total amount of precipitation was 81,8 mm. Most hop gardens were difficult to access for agricultural machinery, cultivators and sprayers found themselves in hop gardens with great difficulty. In the months of June and July, a total of 232.5 mm of water rained. The temperature in July was normal, the average monthly temperature reached 19.4 °C The warmest days were in the third decade on July 24 - 27, when the highest daily temperature rose to 30°C. On the contrary, the temperature dropped the lowest on July 20 and 21, and did not even reach 10°C. Such favourable climatic conditions enabled good flowering and subsequent cones creating. Good yields cannot be expected on hop gardens that have been damaged by hail, there will be no hops to be harvested on the 18 hectars of TOP HOP Group hop gardens. These devastated hop growths, now at least overgrown with new leaves, were treated against pests and diseases to save them for next years. Health state of hop plants is good despite the difficulties of sprayers to pass through hop gardens. The sixth spraying was completed.
