Hop Grower Event by Asahi
On Monday 8th of September we took part in the Hop Grower Event organised by Asahi. During our part of the programme, we took our guests to see the hops grown on low trellis constructions, irrigation reservoirs as well as meteorological station that forms part of the FOR HOPS project, which is organised by Pilsner Urquell/Asahi.

The Asahi delegation, which consisted of hop growers from Australia and USA, representatives of Asahi Global Procurement Singapore, Asahi Australia, Asahi Europe and Pilsner Urquell, came to visit us as part of their two day programme called Hop Grower Event. During these two days, various Czech hop growers and traders presented how hops is grown, harvested and processed in the Czech Republic.
Within the very tight schedule we showed our guests the experimental hop varieties grown on low trellis constructions, irrigation reservoirs and our meteorological station which forms part of the FOR HOPS research programme organised by Pilsner Urquell/Asahi.
In the afternoon, we also attended the presentation at Capuchin monastery in Saaz town, where various speakers gave their lectures on current topics regarding hop research.
