Hop harvest is in full swing!

Both of these farms started their hop harvest on 17th of August, and two days later, on 19th of August, the rest of the farms followed – Chmelař Deštnice, Zlaté Chmelové Údolí, Chmelex, Petrohradská and lastly MAJ Sedčice. All the seasonal workers arrived on time and in sufficient numbers, so nothing was holding the start of the harvest back.

First farmer’s bales of 2024 crop year arrived into our refrigerated warehouse in Hořesedly on 20th of August. After the first week of the harvest, we can estimate that the average yield of Saaz Fine Aroma Hops could reach an average volumes, however first signs indicate that the contents of alpha acids and other valuable chemical compounds will be rather lower this year than the usual.
