Teambuilding in Budweiser Budvar brewery
At the end of this year’s hops processing season, most of TOP HOP and V.F. Humulus teams set out for a joint teambuilding that took place in the legendary Budweiser Budvar, the last remaining Czech national brewery. And it wasn’t just an ordinary brewery visit – we received a full brewery tour that turned out to be a 5-hour experience full of new insights, flavours and inspiration.

We got to see all the key parts of our national brewery: the brewhouse, hops warehouse, conical tanks, modern stainless steel lager tanks, bottling plant as well as highly automated logistics centre. The cherry on top of this experience was beer tasting straight from the historical lager tanks, including special beers made from fresh hops during last hops harvest.
The best experience of all however was the sole presence of our guide, the one and only Ing. & Ing. Adam Brož, Ph.D., MBA, LL.M., respected brewmaster and one of the greatest brewing experts not only in Czech Republic, but worldwide, who took us through all the corners of Budweiser Budvar.
For many members of our teams, this was actually the first time they could see the fruits of their labour with their own eyes in practice. In other words, they could see how hops, that literally passes through their hands every day, becomes a premium beer that gets exported to more than 70 countries worldwide. It was very inspiring and motivational to see the full brewing process in such a prestigious brewery, especially knowing that also our effort contributes with is own part to the success of our national brewery.
Budweiser Budvar is actually one of the few breweries in the whole world, which is successful in increasing it’s production and sales, despite the current declining trends in beer production and consumption. For our field of work, that stands and falls on honest work and quality, it is a clear proof that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand.
We’d like to thank Budweiser Budvar and specifically Adam Brož for an unforgettable experience and the opportunity to have a glimpse into the backstage of one of the most influential breweries in the whole world.
