TOP HOP at BrasilBrau 2026
Between 9th and 11th June, we took part in the Brazilian brewing convention BrasilBrau 2026 in Sao Paulo.
Together with Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, Embassy of the Czech Republic in Brasília, and side by side with other Czech companies, we represented our country at national Czech stand, whose main theme was Czech beer.
Apart from us, other Czech participants were hop companies ARIX and Bohemia Hop, manufacturers of brewing technologies Bucher Denwel and Cheops, and original Czech lagers were supplied by local distributors of Budweiser Budvar (Czechvar) and Pilsner Urquell. Technical know-how of brewing Czech beer was covered by Mr. Milan Bittner, master brewer of Velkopopovický Kozel which belongs to Pilsner Urquell group.
The opening ceremony of Czech national stand was performed by the Embassador of Czech Republic in Brasil, Mrs. Pavla Havrlíková, accompanied by Agricultural Attaché in Brazil Mr. Filip Vavřínek. While the visitors explored hops, technologies and know how necessary for brewing Czech lagers, they also had the opportunity to try out typical Czech beer foods. Together with perfectly cold beer, finger foods such as pickled sausage or lard spread were served to fully depict what Czech beer culture means in its entirety.
In approaching potential clients, we teamed up with our colleagues from Mr. Malt, our local distributor in Sao Paulo. Thanks to this, we had the opportunity to showcase not only our hops, but also a final product in the form of non-alcoholic beer made locally using our hops.
It was an honour to represent the Czech Republic as one component of the national stand, whose theme expressed one of the most important parts of Czech culture.
