Brewers from USA, Canada and Australia in Hořesedly
We had the honour to welcome yet another international delegation of brewers from USA, Canada and Australia, alongside Agricultural Diplomat Filip Lameš from Embassy in Ottawa and Milan Vagner, Economy and Trade counsellor from Embassy in Canberra.
Apart from the usual tour around the processing plant, our guests had the unique opportunity to see areas which are usually inaccessible due to the maintenance that is taking place these days. This way they could enter the “huge freezer” that is the tower where we produce pellets Type 45 in temperatures -35°C.
Next part of the tour, a very essential one, was our laboratory, where we presented all the methods of analysis of hops we perform on a daily basis during the production season. Our guests also enjoyed the sensory testing of various varieties of raw hops.
As the cherry on top, we paid a visit to one of our hop gardens Velký Kus near Deštnice, where we could see current stage of growth and health condition of our hop plants, which might be the hops they will be using eventually.
