Last week, we were delighted to welcome representatives of Sapporo Breweries, our very close partner, who arrived for a General Meeting of V.F. Humulus. Apart from the board meeting, our guests also paid a visit to Cinke gardens in Žatec, the place where we cultivate new hop plants.
We had the honour to welcome yet another international delegation of brewers from USA, Canada and Australia, alongside Agricultural Diplomat Filip Lameš from Embassy in Ottawa and Milan Vagner, Economy and Trade counsellor from Embassy in Canberra.
In April we welcomed a group of students from Czech University of Life Sciences, department of Agroecology and Crop Production, who are the participants of the course “Hop growing” at, currently the only of it’s kind in the country.
Between 7th and 10th of April 2025 we travelled to Armenia in order to visit craft and industrial breweries and represent TOP HOP during a trade mission organised by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and Czech Embassy in Yerevan.
This week we welcomed a group of Kazakh and Kyrgyz brewers in Hořesedly. Yet another trip organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic brought a group of professionals with an interest in Czech brewing supplies as well as hops and malt. The visitors represented six Kazakh and Kyrgyz breweries.
During 26th till 28th November 2024, TOP HOP team participated at this years BrauBeviale 2024 in Nürnberg. This convention, one of the largest of it’s kind, attracted crowds of like minded people from all around the world, all with one aim – meet and share insights from what we all love, the beverage industry. For us it was a great opportunity to represent Czech values, traditions and our broad experience from the area of hops growing, processing and trade.
As part of an official trip of the Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic Mr. Marek Výborný to Turkey and Serbia in November 2024, we met with representatives of beer brewing and agricultural sectors of these two countries.
In October 2024 the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic together with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Kenya organized a beerbrewing business mission to Nairobi, and we did not miss the chance to represent Czech hops in Africa.
